The Riddle of the Star of Bethlehem

In it I explain what is really in the Bible, and how the story has changed over time and why. How did we get the story of the three kings? Who were they? Where are they from and how could they find the stall in Bethlehem? Why are there an ox and a donkey in a nativity scene at the manger? And what was that star really? Maybe it was a comet, or something else? What do the astronomers say about that? And finally, when was Jesus actually born?

I also show how the Christmas story has been depicted in art over the centuries.

(The lecture was planned in the basilica of Oudenbosch, with a Christmas market around it, but because of corona it is broadcast from the former Jesuit monastery with the observatory there.)
