Omschrijving

ERA will soon be doing the last major renovation on the Space Station. The robot will then place a large radiator and an airlock on the Russian science module Nauka, which was launched to the Space Station in July 2021, along with ERA.

It is a real Dutch story of struggling and coming back, of setbacks and unexpected turns.

ERA was built for ESA with a European team led by Airbus in Leiden, with a major contribution from the Netherlands to the program. NLR developed the ground segment and Stork components for the joints and the grabs.

ERA is now on the ISS, no less than 27 years after construction started. Will that story have a happy ending?
