| Dear NVR members, The NVR invites you to the NVR Space Award ceremony at the Aerospace Engineering Faculty at the TU Delft on September 7th. We are looking forward to seeing you at this event that we unfortunately needed to postpone for 2 years due to the COVID pandemic. Prof. Heinz Stoewer was awarded the NVR Space Award in 2020 for his many contributions to the developments of Space activities in general worldwide and within the Netherlands in specific. Starting with the development of the European SpaceLab, Prof. Stoewer has had many roles in is the space sector until his retirement in 2002 but is still active today in multiple roles worldwide and is still involved closely with the Aerospace Engineering in Delft and it’s students. Prof. Heinz Stoewer was nominated by the Aerospace Engineering faculty where he was Chairholder from 1986 to 2001. At the award ceremony, Prof. Gill will elaborate on the motivation for nominating Prof. Heinz Stoewer for the NVR Space Award. After the ceremony, Prof. Stoewer will present on the developments and future of Commercial Spaceflight and the growing importance of Sustainable Space. Following his presentation we will have a networking drinks where we can raise a toast. |
