TNO Company Visit

The NVR is pleased to invite you to a company visit to TNO on Thursday, 29 January.

For sixty years, TNO Space has been a leading player in space technology, providing the Netherlands with a crucial position in international cooperation and innovation. Its importance for the Netherlands lies in strengthening knowledge, the economy, and strategic autonomy. TNO plays a very significant role in many projects in the fields of astronomy (including GAIA, BepiColombo, LISA), Earth observation (including TROPOMI, EarthCARE), and laser communications (SmallCAT, TOmCAT, CubeCAT). In addition, TNO plays an important role in Dutch projects such as TANGO and PAM-1.

The past, present, and future of these projects will be presented by the management of TNO Space, and a tour of the facilities will be included.

Members of the NVR are given the unique opportunity to attend this presentation and guided tour at TNO. At the start of the visit, a welcome drink and a sandwich will be served, and afterwards there will be an opportunity to continue discussions and network with the attendees.

The presentation and tours can be given in either Dutch or English. We will assess the preference of the registered participants via the registration form.

You can register by completing this registration form before 8 January 2026.

TNO can accommodate a maximum of 50 members for the visit. Experience shows that company visits are always fully booked quickly, so when allocating places we will give priority to members who have not been able to participate before. A limited number of places is available for student members. You will be informed during the week of 12 January whether you can participate. Due to the limited number of places, it is unfortunately not possible to bring a guest.

Costs
For NVR members, the participation fee is €5. If you are able to participate, we will send you an invoice together with the confirmation.

Location
If you participate, we kindly ask you to travel to TNO using your own transportation. The address is Stieltjesweg 1, 2628 CK Delft. Upon confirmation, you will receive directions and parking instructions.
