NVR General Assembly, 10 June 2025
On 10 June 2025, the 𝗡𝗩𝗥’𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 took place at CGI Nederland.
The meeting started by standing still to the recent passing of our honorary member Karel Wakker. He was the NVR Chairman between 1987 – 1993. In the name of NVR, our deepest condolences to the families of Karel. Our condolences go also to all those who have known Karel.
𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆:
✨ 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
- NVR celebrates 75 years in 2026. This anniversary moment will not pass unnoticed. Our members will be informed at a later moment.
- In 2026 we will continue with new company visits, a movie night and participation to ESTEC Open Day.
- We will create webinars over actual subjects to share and debate topics of interest to our members.
- A new platform for sharing experiences will be created. We look forward to share the memories of our retired members from past launches, events, collaborations.
☄️𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀: NVR will start reaching out to young members: students and high school pupils (13 – 18 years old) to broaden the interest of those generations for the space segment.
📖 𝗥𝘂𝗶𝗺𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗲: we plan to interview Dutch policy makers, pay attention to the space history, potential extension to a journal for youth.

🎤 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮: we will create a NVR focal point for media questions and have a pool of experts for this purpose.
