Metropole Orkest and the European Space Agency (ESA) are joining forces to pay tribute to the sun with a concert series. Based on the most beautiful music inspired by the sun, and fascinating images from spacecraft Solar Orbiter, ESA scientist Mark McCaughrean takes you on a space mission. In collaboration with the NVR, the orchestra is organizing a special event in Carré(Amstedam) and Amare(The Hague) during this concert series. Take a look backstage at the world-famous orchestra and experience what it takes to give the audience a great evening. From idea to concept, and from concept to reality with all the associated technology and artistic considerations. You visit the sound check prior to the concert and meet the people who work behind the scenes. Timetable (subject to change) for Saturday, April 22 in Amare (The Hague) and Tuesday, April 25 in Carré (Amsterdam):
17.00h – 18.30h: Tour behind the scenes: visit sound check followed by introduction
18.30h – 20.00h: Free time to roam around Amsterdam/The Hague to get something to eat
20.00h: Start of concert
Approx. 22.30h: End of concert
The event in Amare (The Hague) will be held on April 22,
the tickets are €30 and €10 for students (first class tickets, both including surcharges).
The event in Carré (Amsterdam) will be held on April 25,
tickets for Carré are €36 and €25,50 for students (second class tickets, both including surcharges). Please find below some instructions to register!

The deadline for registration is 23 March.
All tickets are sold on a first-come-first-served basis, so be quick as there are only a limited amount of tickets and this is something unique that you do not want to miss! To reserve a ticket, please send an email to secretariaat@ruimtevaart-nvr.nl including the following information: The amount of tickets you want to buy (every member of the NVR is allowed to bring a plus-one)(We will try our best to place everyone next to each other but the chance exists that you will not be seated together) If you want to reserve a ticket for Carré (Amsterdam) or Amare (The Hague) The names of the recipients and whether they are a student or not If you would like to join the tour prior to the concert (this is not mandatory) After confirming the registration, the invoice will be sent by the NVR secretariat, please transfer money as soon as possible.
